Important information about the mandatory internship

The conditions for advancement in accordance with the applicable study and examination regulations (SPO) must be observed.

If the conditions for advancement have not yet been met at the time of signing, approval is subject to reservation. Possible social security implications must be taken into account in the case of a "voluntary" internship.

Once the internship has been completed, a certificate is issued stating the activities, duration of the internship and the number of days worked and missed. This and, if applicable, the internship report must be submitted to the Student Service Centre (SSZ).

Information on the compulsory internship can be found on the respective degree programme page . For subject-specific questions, an internship officer is available for each subject area.

Further information on the recognition of professional competences, the corresponding application and sample internship contracts in German and English can be found in our Downloads section.
