BRK University Group
Tasks and goal
The aim of the university group is to familiarise students with the work of the Red Cross. This is made possible by a partnership between the university and the Landshut 2 on-call unit of the Landshut district branch of the BRK.
This offers students who are accepted as members of the organisation the opportunity to complete the basic training courses for emergency service helpers and thus become active themselves. Experienced emergency services personnel are on hand to provide help and advice on all aspects of emergency medical services. Depending on their training, the members of the university group are able to help provide medical cover for events at the university.
Activities
The group meetings of our university group usually take place once or twice a month on the premises of the university. The dates can be found on the website of the Landshut 2 on-call service.
If that's not enough, you can also attend the training evenings of the Landshut 2 on-call service and take part in medical guard services as a trainee. It is also possible to take part in blood donations at the university and after the basic training courses for emergency service helpers, it is possible to participate as a "third party" in the rescue service.
