MINT Roadshow
Landshut University of Applied Sciences brings hands-on technology to your school.
Climate protection, energy and transport transition require technical solutions. Developing these is the exciting and important task of future engineers. It is therefore a major concern for Landshut University of Applied Sciences to make technology understandable to young people and to get them interested in STEM degree programmes.
The number of first-year students in STEM subjects has been declining for years. However, the demand for STEM graduates from companies is steadily increasing. In order to get more pupils interested in technology again, Landshut University of Applied Sciences brings the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology to Bavarian schools for them to touch and try out.
Procedure of a MINT roadshow:
- Organised by the Central Student Advisory Service and Careers Service, Landshut University of Applied Sciences comes to your school for a morning with all kinds of demo objects and equipment.
- Pupils can get information in groups at the individual STEM stations and try out lots of things for themselves:
How does a 3D printer work? How can we make humanoid robots dance? And which degree programmes teach students how to use these technologies? - The university staff will explain the technology behind it and will be available to answer questions.
- The Central Student Counselling and Career Service provides information about study opportunities at Landshut University of Applied Sciences.
