MINT-Wednesday
Landshut University of Applied Sciences offers pupils aged ten to 16 years an application-orientated and practical insight into MINT topics and MINT sciences with its "MINT Wednesday" format.
The young people explore the "secrets of technology" in various workshops in seminar rooms and technical laboratories of the MINT faculties at the university.

Gravitrax - Ball track system
With the GraviTrax marble run system, we creatively built our own marble run according to the laws of gravity.
We used many of the Gravitrax elements provided.
Our incentive was to build an interesting marble run and let the ball run for 30 seconds. The ball rolled for more than 20 seconds on the track we put together. We almost reached the target.
Help Harry - A statics task
Who is Harry? Harry is a little cotton ball with googly eyes.
The task was: Build a lookout tower for Harry from the given materials so that he can look around more easily. Your aim is to build the highest possible tower for Harry without putting Harry in danger
We all completed the task. Harry was safe on every tower and had a clear view. It was great to see how many different solutions the group came up with.

Safe the Eggs
We have experienced it: Being an engineer is fun!
The task: to bring an egg thrown from the second floor to the floor intact.
The challenge was led by Alexej Istratov.
The jury consisted of two engineers, a mechanical engineering student and a biomedical student. It was judged on sustainability, creativity, weight (resources) and the result after dropping (broken or whole).
Two very strong teams competed. The team that was actually only one point ahead was nominated as the winner.

The tinkerers came up with spectacular new ideas in experiments. We tried out different materials. We set muffin moulds in motion. Who would have thought that cork disc robots would work?
It was a very creative afternoon.
Stop-motion in the Creative Lab
In this workshop, you learnt how an animated film works and how you can create small animated sequences yourself with the help of appropriate software.
We created visual material in four teams. We edited the film (with effects) and added dialogue, sounds and music to the film.
4.30 pm was our cinema start. You presented your four stop-motion films to the audience.
JugendLAden in the City Centre Landshut
Imagination and patience with vibro-bots and 3D technology
From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors to the youth centre in the CCL were able to tinker with vibro-bots and try out our 3D pens.
They created super fun little walking robots and unique creations with the 3D pens.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for the youth shop team that a permanent youth shop will be set up in the CCL. There were lots of young people there with a wide range of interests.
Die Zukunftswerker - Taking on all MINT talents
