Prospects after graduation

People with a Bachelor's degree in Intelligent Systems and Smart Factory have specialised interdisciplinary knowledge at the intersection of electrical engineering, computer science and production technology. This makes them sought-after specialists with good career and promotion prospects. They are needed wherever digitalisation and automation take place, where systems communicate with each other and where production takes place. They therefore work in almost all sectors, e.g. in the metal, chemical, food, investment and consumer goods industries - from family-run companies to global players.

Possible fields of application are

  • Production planning and optimisation
  • Product design and pre-development
  • Smart Home
  • Project management
  • Advice / Consulting

Possible Master's degree programmes

As an alternative to starting a career, you can take up an advanced Master's programme after completing your Bachelor's degree. Building on the Intelligent Systems and Smart Factory Bachelor's degree programme, the Faculty of Electrical and Industrial Engineering offers the Applied Research in Engineering Sciences, Sustainability and Transformation and Wiring Systems Development Master's degree programmes. Here, the engineering knowledge already acquired is further deepened.
