Programme content
Through practice-orientated teaching, students acquire an engineering education based on scientific knowledge and methods, which enables them to work independently in the field of wiring systems. In addition to technical knowledge and skills in the engineering sciences, management topics are also taught.
Students learn how to construct an on-board electrical system (energy and communication network). They acquire skills in the mechanical design of physical vehicle electrical systems and learn to understand the electrical influences and interactions. They will plan and organise the production of the vehicle electrical system and will be able to understand and evaluate the technical and financial effects of changes in the production process.
Study programme
The Master's degree programme comprises a total of three semesters, in which a total of 90 ECTS credits (30 per semester) are earned. The degree programme can be started in the summer semester or the winter semester. Lectures generally begin on 15 March in the summer semester and on 1 October in the winter semester. If you start your studies in the winter semester, you will first take the modules for the winter semester and then those for the summer semester. If you start your studies in the summer semester, it is the other way round. The Master's thesis is completed in the third semester, preferably in collaboration with a company.

Practical orientation
All degree programmes at the Faculty of Electrical and Industrial Engineering are characterised by a high degree of practical and application orientation.
In addition to the theoretical lectures, many of the modules on offer include laboratory practicals with specific content. In these, the theoretical knowledge learnt is practically tested, expanded and consolidated in our more than 20 modern laboratories. Project work also serves to creatively and practically implement what has been learnt.
