47. Deutscher Steuerberatertag

Ein kleiner Erfahrungsbericht verfasst Anna-Lena Hofmann über die Exkursion zum Deutschen Steuerberatertag in Hamburg.

From October 13 to 15, 2024, students of the Tax Competence Module attended the 47th German Tax Consultants' Day at the Congress Center Hamburg together with Prof. Dr. Zinser. The event, organized by the German Tax Consultants Association (DStV), started on Sunday evening with a reception and welcoming speeches by DStV President Torsten Lüth and Hamburg's Senator Andreas Dressel. Afterwards, the State Association of Tax Advisory Professions in Bavaria (LSWB) invited the students to a joint dinner, which was made possible free of charge for the students thanks to Managing Director Mr. Jahn.

The interesting and varied program of the conference offered specialist lectures on current topics such as “Neuerungen in der Umsatzsteuer” or “Aktuelles im Ertragssteuerrecht” as well as non-tax topics, such as the lecture by former BND employee Leo Martin on the topic of “Mission Menschenkenntnis - Die Kunst, Menschen zu lesen”. The students were also able to visit a specialist exhibition and make contacts with companies and law firms. The experienced participants confirmed that the Tax Consultants' Day was inspiring and enriching.

We would like to thank Landshut University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zinser and the DStV and LSWB for this valuable experience and the exciting insight into the tax consultancy profession.
