Programme content
In addition to training in traditional business subjects, the degree programme is characterised by a strong IT orientation with a focus on mobile and web applications in particular and integrates these skills into the field of business start-ups. In particular, the programme prepares students for setting up their own company in connection with digital business ideas. The practical semester and the Bachelor's thesis are also geared towards this goal.
Modules
After the first introductory year of study, the second year of study serves to deepen and expand the programme through advanced and new modules - e.g. Controlling, Innovation and Project Management, Business Model and Strategy Development, Human Resources Management, Production, Logistics & Services, Data Science & Machine Learning and the Digital Business Models seminar. The "Entrepreneurial Skills" course also begins here, in which students develop and realise their own business idea. After the practical semester, students deepen their knowledge of business informatics in the sixth and seventh semesters, choose a second specialisation and pursue their business idea. The Bachelor's thesis concludes the programme.
