    Study programme

The degree programme comprises 7 semesters. In the first part of the programme, students learn the basics of business informatics, computer science, business administration, mathematics and programming. The subject matter is taught in close relation to practice in seminar-style teaching, practicals, lectures and exercises. The five-semester second stage of the programme includes the core subjects of business informatics as well as application-related subject areas. The fifth semester is a practical semester of 80 working days in the business world with accompanying courses at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. A central element of the second stage of studies is the one-semester study project, in which students learn how to organise and implement an IT project on their own responsibility. The study project is accompanied by a seminar, in the first part of which students learn about the management of IT projects, among other things. In the second part, the project results are presented. The study projects are usually carried out together with the computer science students. In particular, teams made up of students from both degree programmes benefit from the different skills of the individual team members when it comes to allocating tasks.
