The GARAC (école nationale des professions de l'automobile), Paris

The GARAC, the National Institute for Automotive Professions (école nationale des professions de l'automobile), is a prestigious French educational institution in the field of automotive engineering. The Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering has been working closely with the GARAC since 2017. Originally planned as an annual excursion, the cooperation during the pandemic had to be compensated for by intensive digital collaboration on project work in the Master's degree programme in Automotive and Commercial Vehicle Engineering. After the restrictions were eased due to the pandemic in both countries, a hybrid format was developed that successfully combines excursion and project work. This format has been firmly integrated into the curriculum of both universities and represents significant progress in internationalisation for both cooperation partners.
