Internship Abroad

In addition to studying abroad, you also have the opportunity to complete an internship abroad. More and more students are choosing an internship abroad in order to strengthen their intercultural skills, independence and resilience and thus be fit for the labour market or to develop personally.

How to plan your internship abroad

Our checklist"7 steps to an internship abroad"can help you with your planning. A lead time of at least one year is not too short to answer questions such as

  • How do I find a suitable position?
  • How do I apply correctly?
  • What financial resources are available to me?
  • How will the compulsory internship be recognised?

You should therefore make use of our information on funding opportunities and internship searches on the following pages at an early stage.

Questions and answers

You can also find the checklist, FAQs and all the latest news about internships abroad on our new Padlet! Here you also have the opportunity to get in touch with other students and exchange ideas!

One information event on internships abroad takes place each semester. We will inform you of the exact dates by email and on notice boards at the start of the semester.

Useful information on finding, applying for and financing internships all over the world can be found at Study & Work International.
