These labs serve as computer rooms where students can work in small groups at high-quality workstations. Especially when working on projects and final theses.

Equipment CAx C1 28:
Laboratory manager: Prof. Dr Norbert Babel

  • Seven workstations for two students each with height-adjustable sit-stand desks and ergonomic chairs
  • Double screen or large screen each
  • Special CAD mouse and 3D design spacemouse
  • Well-equipped computers for CAD and FEM applications
  • Specialised software for CAD, FEM for creating organic structures and processing 3D scans

Network Computing H1 11:
Lab manager: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlev Maurer

This laboratory is used for teaching CAD and FEM in small groups of up to twelve people. In addition, the twelve computer workstations can be networked with each other so that a computer farm can be set up.
It is possible to make the screen of each computer visible to everyone, so that presentations, results and problems can be easily viewed by all those present.
