Equipment:

  • Five laboratory workstations that can be used independently, including three hydraulic and two pneumatic test benches, can be used flexibly for different test set-ups
  • Evaluation room with five computers
  • Simulation software for hydraulic and pneumatic circuits for testing and determining the variables to be measured prior to the respective test setup
  • Set-up of a hydrostatic transmission (e.g. with constant or adjustable hydraulic machines, 4/3-way valve and adjustable measuring orifice); measurements of pressures, volume flows, speeds and torques; determination of hydraulic-mechanical and volumetric efficiency
  • Electrohydraulics (differential cylinder circuit with speed control via various signalling and actuating elements, e.g. throttle check and 4/3-way valves as well as locking block; measurement of pressures, volume flows at standstill and during acceleration of the hydraulic cylinder; function diagrams)
  • Proportional hydraulics: determination of valve characteristics (e.g. nominal stroke flow, nominal volume flow) for various continuous valves including hysteresis determination; variation of ramp functions and position sensor types; measurement of solenoid currents, valve strokes, pressures, volume flows
  • Electropneumatics: e.g. design of commercial vehicle brake systems, sequence controls, etc.
