Equipment:
The equipment in the plastics technology laboratory is focussed on thermoset processing and extrusion.
A laboratory extruder from IDE and a melt rheometer from Zwick are available for extrusion.
A release agent test rig and a laboratory press are available for thermoset processing. The test rig is used to characterise reactivity, shrinkage behaviour and release force during the processing of reactive resins.
A Hauschildt mixing system and an ultrasonic cleaning system are available for processing tasks in the field of thermoset processing. With the help of software packages such as COMPRO or ANSYS ACCS, reaction kinetic analyses can be carried out.
The equipment is completed by laboratory ovens for curing reactive resins and adhesives.
