Laboratory internship
The degree programme at the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering is practice-oriented. Important practical experience can be gained in various areas as early as the first semesters. During the engineering internships and project work in the fourth and sixth semesters, technical issues are dealt with in greater depth, thus reinforcing the theoretical knowledge acquired.
Engineering internships
By applying what has been learnt in the previous course of study, students can develop solutions to problems independently. In addition, the ability to summarise results in a technical report can be deepened and expanded.
The IP programme varies. Examples of interesting practical courses are
- Driving performance curve
- Motorsport practice
- Business games on entrepreneurial skills
- Scanning electron microscopy
- Fibre composites
- Fluid mechanics & heat transfer
- Energy storage with Li-ion batteries
