Pre-internship

Pre-study work experience enables students to gain multi-faceted insights into various branches of industry and contributes to their academic development by deepening their practical understanding. It also strengthens the link between theoretical knowledge and real-life applications, which adds significant value to the degree programme.

Civil Engineering degree programme:

The pre-study work experience serves to gain an insight into the techniques and processes in the construction industry and must therefore be completed on construction sites. It is intended to impart essential elementary knowledge for the degree programme. Under the guidance of professional supervisors, the trainee should familiarise themselves with the building materials and their workability and gain an overview of the construction site facilities and processes.

Currently, a pre-internship is only required for the Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering. If it is not possible for you to complete the internship before the start of your studies, there is the option to make up for it upon request until the beginning of the 3rd semester.
