Introducing the IDP
The Institute for Data and Process Science (IDP) is a central, cross-faculty institute that conducts pioneering research and teaching in future-oriented subject areas, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, data mining, algorithms and project management .
With a team of six professors and numerous dedicated academic staff, who are mainly funded by third-party projects, the IDP plays a central role in shaping the digital future.
The IDP's main activities are interdisciplinary and cover various fields. These include
- Research via third-party funded projects (EU, federal, state and industry)
- Knowledge transfer through formats such as the project management network forum and cooperation with external university partners
- Producing scientific publications and editing the publication series "Research Notes on Data and Process Science"
- Scientific qualification through support for doctoral projects and supervision of final theses
