Basic information
Sustainability and resource efficiency play a key role in all research questions at NITRO. The three focal points are: product design and materials engineering, technology and innovation, and intelligent production systems and processes. The coming research projects focus on the development of new methods, materials and manufacturing processes.
The doctoral procedure in NITRO requires you to participate in a structured doctoral programme. This supports you in your further development towards independent scientific work. You will take part in scientific qualification courses, be involved in teaching and document your scientific progress. You find all important information in the doctoral regulation and soon also in the further guidelines.
Doctoral regulations NITRO (in German)General procedure
- Preliminary topic proposal with research objectives and research idea
- Search for a supervisor at Landshut University of Applied Sciences (must be a member of NITRO)
- Finalize research topic
- Preparation of a written exposé together with the supervisor
- Submission of application for acceptance as doctoral candidate to the Graduate School Augsburg
- Decision of the doctoral committee on acceptance
- If the decision is positive, get placed on the doctoral list
- Enrolment via university certificate WILMA
According to §13 (2) & (3) of the NITRO doctoral regulations, participation in academic qualification courses must be proven as part of the structured doctoral programme. You may attend the courses offered by the universities or get courses already attended can be credited. For crediting, please contact the Graduate Center.
