The advisory board is made up of the four professors of the TZ PULS (Prof Dr Markus Schneider, Prof Dr Sebastian Meißner, Prof Dr Carsten Röh, Prof Dr Sven Roeren), the President of Landshut University of Applied Sciences Prof Dr Fritz Pörnbacher, as well as the city of Dingolfing, this time represented by the managing official Thomas Layh, the district of Dingolfing-Landau (represented by the district administrator Werner Bumeder) and the representatives of seven major regional companies: Claudia Bickmann representing Christine Petrasch from BMW Group Dingolfing, Hanno Froese representing Dr Hannes Säubert from ebm-papst Landshut GmbH, Herbert Stadlbauer from Kühne+Nagel (AG & Co.KG, Konrad Sigl from SAR Elektronic GmbH, Robert Huber representing Dr Michael Ettl from Schaltbau GmbH, Peter Thoma representing Prof Dr Jörg Elsenbach from the Dräxlmaier Group and Dr Marco Heck from Mann+Hummel GmbH & Co KG.
Always discover something new
"We can look forward to an exciting year with many great events and challenges, which we will certainly master successfully thanks to our many years of good cooperation," said Advisory Board Chairman Herbert Stadlbauer, welcoming the group and proudly looking back on the goals we have achieved together over the past nine years. Together with Peter Thoma, he addressed Prof Dr Jörg Elsenbach's farewell words to the group. His seat on the Advisory Board will now be taken by Dr Alexander Schubel.
In his report on the innovation visit by Kühne+Nagel managers to TZ PULS, Stadlbauer also confirmed that even Advisory Board members can always take away new ideas for their own company during a visit and recommended that other companies also make use of the TZ PULS programme.
From the idea to realisation
Franz Steinbauer from SAR Electronic GmbH had good news: an innovation from the Technology Centre, the O-cell, was not only brought to market maturity in cooperation between SAR, Neolog GmbH and the Technology Centre, but has now been successfully implemented at the first customer.
Opening of the innovation factory in September
The professors of TZ PULS presented current key figures, ongoing research applications, the status of the research focus and the revised Master's degree programme in Management of Production and Supply Chain. In addition to the publication of various research results, a lot has also happened in the 900 m² learning and model factory. Not only has a new robot moved in, but a simulation of the production of the future can also be marvelled at on the new LED wall. Work is also continuing on a number of innovations as part of the PRINCE project. These will be presented to the public at an innovation evening in September. "We are already looking forward to being able to present a wide range of innovations to the public, including patent-pending innovations. This is exactly what we want to achieve: From research through the test phases to market-ready products, which we can develop together with the companies and thus make a direct contribution to the companies in the region," says Prof Dr Markus Schneider, Scientific Director of TZ PULS.
