Sparkasse Landshut recently made a generous donation of 5,000 euros to the Friends of Landshut University of Applied Sciences.
The non-profit association has set itself the goal of promoting the educational institution both ideally and materially and of supporting a wide range of activities for which there are no or too few funds available in the university budget.
Christian Gallwitz, member of the board of the Sparkasse and also active in the extended board of the Friends, presented the symbolic donation check to Prof. Dr. Fritz Pörnbacher (President of the university), Ludwig Zellner (1st Chair), Ursula Weger (Vice Chair), Michael Schramm (Managing Director) and Prof. Dr. phil. Silvia Dollinger (Vice President for Studies and Teaching).
Gallwitz emphasized the strong ties between the two institutions and the importance of the donation in promoting teaching and research: "We benefit from each other. When we support our local community, we strengthen our economy, improve the quality of life and create a positive future for all."
Ludwig Zellner expressed his sincere thanks for the generous support. The financial grant will create a variety of opportunities to further expand academic development and educational opportunities at the university. These include the establishment of a network, the support of practice-oriented teaching and the promotion of application-oriented development projects.
