Support for all students

For Prof. Dr. Dieter Nazareth, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, the results of the CHE ranking are confirmation of the high quality of the research and teaching in the area of computer science: “Our professors are dedicated to giving our students the best possible support with the future use of their skills in the world of work.” The courses available at the faculty are to be expanded even further for the winter semester. “With the degree course in Artificial Intelligence, we are creating new potential at Landshut University of Applied Sciences for the rapid developments in the area of digitalisation,” explained Nazareth.

University President Prof. Dr. Fritz Pörnbacher was also pleased about the great results of the Faculty of Computer Science, which he above all else attributes to the hard work of the teaching staff at Landshut University of Applied Sciences: “We attribute considerable importance to providing our students with intensive support. This has become even more important during the coronavirus pandemic. We are excellently positioned digitally, and are therefore in a position to provide all our students with the best possible support during the current digital semester.”

The Centre for Higher Education Development surveyed approximately 120,000 students for the CHE ranking. More than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences (HAWs) as well as dual universities and universities of cooperative education were assessed. The CHE university ranking is therefore the most comprehensive and detailed comparison of universities in the German-speaking world. In addition to facts about courses of study, examinations, teaching and research, the ranking also includes assessments by students about the conditions of study and support in various areas at their university. This includes, for example, job market preparation, academic and practical relevance, teaching facilities, library facilities and IT infrastructure.
