The district of Dingolfing-Landau is expecting students in Dingolfing for the first time in the upcoming winter semester. In order to prepare the new educational location in the best possible way, responsible persons from the district, the city of Dingolfing, the Landshut University of Applied Sciences as well as representatives from the business community have joined forces for regular meetings in the working group "Studying and Living in the District".
The focus of the project group is on developing a strong infrastructure that meets the needs of students and offers them a pleasant environment in which to study and live. The joint meetings have worked intensively on various projects to ensure that students are supported in the best possible way.
One of the central results of the collaboration is the "Student Guide". The guide contains important information about the range of courses on offer locally, the Landshut University of Applied Sciences and the numerous leisure opportunities in the region. It will serve as an orientation aid for new students and support them in planning their studies. In addition, special websites have been developed to serve as information platforms for students. At
www.isar-campus.de and
www.studiere-nachhaltig.de, they can find not only practical information, but also tips on leisure activities, housing options, public transportation and much more.Another focus of the working group's work is the housing market. Here, in the future, they want to cooperate with private landlords and housing associations in order to arrange new housing options for the students.
