Welcome Week for Exchange Students

International Students Begin Their Exchange Semester

Students from Aruba, Finland, Ukraine, Taiwan, Spain, Turkey, and Italy participated in the Welcome Week at the University of Landshut. The events provided international students with the opportunity to prepare for their exchange semester and receive important information about their studies. A particular focus was also placed on making initial connections with each other to ensure a fulfilling time in Landshut.

Getting to know city and culture through a diverse program

During the Welcome Week, the students had the chance to get to know their new hometown better. A guided city tour through Landshut introduced them to the landmarks and historic sites. During a city trip to Munich, the students had the opportunity to explore the state capital. One of the highlights of the week was also a boat trip on the Danube, where the students could experience the Old Town of Regensburg from a unique perspective.

"The Welcome Week is an important opportunity for us to not only provide students with academic information but also familiarize them with the region and culture," says Valeria Guba from the international office who organized the Welcome Week. "It is very important to us that our international students feel at home quickly."

A Successful Semester in Landshut

The University of Landshut wishes all exchange students a successful semester. In addition to academic challenges, we hope that the students will see their time here as a valuable life experience and will quickly feel at home in the university town of Landshut.
