Occupational health and safety
The range of occupational safety tasks includes all measures to protect employees from work-related risks to life and health. It includes all measures that serve to avert or at least minimise other hazards that could arise from work. Landshut University of Applied Sciences is supervised by AMD TÜV Arbeitsmedizinische Dienste GmbH, TÜV Rheinland Group, in accordance with the applicable occupational safety legislation.

- Carrying out inspections
- Participation in ASA meetings and other relevant meetings
- Advising the university management
- Organising workstations, work processes, the working environment and other ergonomic issues
- Preventing accidents at work and minimising their consequences
- Informing employees, carrying out instructions
- Support in the preparation of risk assessments, operating instructions or other documents
- Advice and support on all occupational health and safety issues
- Organisation of "first aid"
- Hazardous substance management
- Carrying out accident investigations
- Dealing with the protection of particularly vulnerable groups (e.g. maternity protection)

Risk assessment of mental stress
The implementation of the risk assessment of mental stress stipulated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act was carried out in cooperation with DEKRA, Berlin and its cooperation partner DearEmployee, as follows
- Information event on 15.11.2021 by Dekra, Berlin
- Project start: 22 November 2021
- Determination of mental workload through a standardised written employee survey from 22.11.2021 - 17.12.2021
- Presentation of the results to the entire university on 27/04/2022
- Conducting the follow-up survey (identical procedure) from 12/06/2022 - 30/06/2022
- Presentation of the results for the entire university on 31/07/2022
Individual measures based on the results of the survey have been and will continue to be implemented for the respective target groups.
