Occupational health care

Occupational medicine is an essential part of statutory occupational health and safety. The aim of occupational medicine is to promote the physical, mental and social well-being of employees to the greatest possible extent and to protect them from health hazards that could arise from unfavourable working conditions. Occupational health services at Landshut University of Applied Sciences are provided by AMD TÜV Arbeitsmedizinische Dienste GmbH, TÜV Rheinland Group.

The tasks of the company doctor at Landshut University of Applied Sciences

  • Advising employees on occupational medical and health issues
  • Carrying out preventive medical check-ups (mandatory and optional check-ups, optional check-ups and aptitude tests)
  • Conducting BEM discussions / BEM counselling (company reintegration)
  • Advising the university management on all health protection issues
  • Support with accident prevention
  • Carrying out inspections (workplace inspections, laboratory inspections, etc.), assessment of working conditions
  • Participation in ASA meetings and BGM meetings

Psychological support

In addition, Ms Meike Nowack (Dipl.-Psychologin, AMD TÜV Arbeitsmedizinische Dienste GmbH, TÜV Rheinland Group) is available to employees of Landshut University of Applied Sciences as a consultant for occupational, industrial and organisational psychology.
