Projects

The research projects focus on the areas of factory and logistics planning, supply chain management, the Internet of Things, digital twins, process automation, artificial intelligence and lean management, in line with the expertise of the Production and Logistics Systems (PULS) research focus area.

The publicly funded research projects (especially in collaboration with various partner companies) are listed below, followed by examples of industrial contract research projects.

    Successfully completed research projects

    Prof Dr Meißner

    The objective is to design a network for intelligent, modular special load carriers (iSLT). (Funding programme Digital Technologies for the Economy (PAiCE), Federal Ministry of Economics. Further information can be found here.

    The aim of the project is to record and optimise the movement of goods in a factory using intelligent provisioning aids. Sub-project as part of the Intelligent Production Logistics Competence Network project, funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund). Further information can be found here.

    Development of a Master's programme in value-oriented production management (funded by BMBF "Open University").

    Analysing the status quo and potential for improving resource efficiency in SMEs. (EU-funded, cross-border INTERREG project honoured with the "Cross Border Award" by the IHK Niederbayern).

    Concept for the integrated design, planning and implementation of process-orientated production systems (funded by the BMBF).

    Development of new business games for the areas of prefabrication, production logistics and "on-site management" (funded by BMBF "Open University").

    Preliminary project to establish a competence network for intelligent production logistics (KIP preliminary project funded by the BMBF).

    The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the region's industry, especially SMEs, through intensive technology transfer on the subject of production logistics (subsidised by ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).
