Pre-internship
For the Bachelor's degree programme in Civil Engineering, you need a six-week, full-time, continuous pre-study internship.
The pre-study work placement provides an insight into the chosen professional field and the link between theoretical knowledge and real-life applications.
Confirmation of the pre-study work placement should be submitted by 30 September. In justified cases, an extension of the submission deadline until the beginning of the 3rd semester is possible upon request.

General information on the practical requirements:
- Professionally qualified applicants do not require any additional pre-study work experience if their previous work experience is relevant to the degree programme.
- The practical training at the FOS in the technical branch is also recognised for the pre-study internship.
- Confirmation of the pre-study work placement should be submitted by 30 September. In justified cases, an extension of the submission deadline until the beginning of the 3rd semester is possible upon request.
- You choose the company in which you complete the pre-study work placement yourself.
- The pre-study work placement is documented by a confirmation from the work placement company.
- A completed pre-study work placement does not have an "expiry date", i.e. it does not have to be completed immediately before the start of the degree programme.
