Programme content
In the Bachelor's degree programme in Media and Communication Management, students acquire fundamental, theoretical knowledge about areas of application in internal and external corporate communication. In creative courses, students design and produce social media campaigns, videos, podcasts and publications for different target and stakeholder groups of companies.
Through case studies, exercises, practical projects and discussions with experienced communication practitioners, they gain insights into the diverse practice of employee communication, media relations, investor relations and public affairs.
Modules
The degree programme comprises six theoretical semesters and one practical semester. In the first two semesters, students learn the basics of business administration and corporate communication. In the following year, students deal with business management functions and external communication and acquire the relevant skills. In the fifth semester, they complete an internship in a company of their choice, accompanied by lectures and reflections. In the final year of study, they specialise in marketing and sales management and choose a further specialisation such as organisational concepts/ personnel management. The Bachelor's thesis concludes the programme.
General studies
Landshut University of Applied Sciences sees itself as a centre of excellence for interdisciplinary and lifelong learning. Teaching should primarily enable students to acquire subject-specific skills, but also social, reflective, procedural, entrepreneurial, systemic, digital, creative, intercultural and foreign language skills. Students on Bachelor's degree programmes are required to take three modules from the Studium Generale.
