Business Psychology & Sustainability Management
Bachelor
The Business Psychology & Sustainability Management degree programme provides fascinating insights into how people think and act – whether alone or in groups, as employees or managers, as applicants or recruiters. Students learn to understand economic interrelationships from both a corporate and an overall perspective, and discover which measures actually help to shape our society in a sustainable way and which only give a good feeling but do not improve anything.

Programme content
In terms of content, the degree programme emphasises a solid academic foundation from which students can choose their own specialisations. This takes place particularly in the second half of the degree programme through
- deciding whether students want to spend a semester abroad
- choosing the company and function for the internship semester
- choosing two compulsory elective subjects - courses that deal with a specific topic in depth - in the sixth and seventh semesters
- the choice of one competence module - intensive project-oriented courses with practical cooperation - in the sixth and seventh semesters
- the choice of a topic for the Bachelor's thesis in the seventh semester
The available specialisations include, for example: Behavioural economics, sustainable corporate management, corporate health management, marketing and consumer psychology, organisational concepts/personnel management.
Modules
In the first year of study, students learn the basics of business administration and the first topics of business psychology, such as research methods, general psychology, statistics for business psychology and an introduction to business and social psychology. The second year of study is dedicated to business management functions and addresses topics such as differential psychology, sustainable corporate management, business and corporate ethics, motivation and sustainable behaviour. After the practical semester, students take the Business Psychology competence module in their final year of study and choose a second specialisation. The courses have a high practical relevance and students work together with companies on projects during their studies. The Bachelor's thesis concludes the programme.
