Real-time systems

The real-time systems laboratory is equipped with 8 workstations, at each of which 2 students can work together.

  • Matlab/Simulink with all toolboxes for C and VHDL code generation and simulation (The MathWorks)
  • CarMaker (IPG)
  • Visual Studio (Micrsoft)
  • QuestaSim/ModelSim (Siemens Digital Industries Software)
  • Xilinx Design Tools Vivado HL Design Edition (AMD)
  • C/C++ CodeWarrior Development Studio for Microcontrollers (NXP)

Room equipment:

  • Large touch-sensitive multi-media board
  • MPC56xB microcontroller boards for automotive and industrial applications
  • Zynq-7000 ARM/FPGA SoC development boards: ZedBoard, Zybo-Board
  • Model vehicles equipped with various sensors, actuators and processing units (e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, MPC5606B)
  • Exemplary sensors for autonomous vehicles: Inertial measurement unit (IMU), GPS, cameras, lidar, radar, ultrasonic sensors, ...
  • mobile track for the NXP Cup with intersection, hill, ...
