Important information and tips on subject enrolment

  • The specified enrolment periods are announced by the faculty in good time and must be adhered to by all students.
  • Early enrolment is generally not possible. However, in justified cases of hardship, a written application can be submitted via the Faculty's Women's Representative or the Representative for Students with Disabilities or Chronic Illnesses by 20 July (for the winter semester) or 30 January (for the summer semester) at the latest. Dual students also have the option of early enrolment.
  • It is important to ensure that only the required number of compulsory and compulsory elective subjects for the corresponding module are taken. Which subjects should be taken can be found in the study and examination plan of the respective degree programme.
After completing the enrolment process, students must thoroughly check whether the required number of subjects have been taken ("admitted") and whether there are no double/multiple enrolments and/or time overlaps.
  • Special regulations apply to pregnant and breastfeeding students in accordance with the current Maternity Protection Act (MuSchG).
  • Corrections within the enrolment period must be made by the students themselves; unforeseen corrections after the end of the official enrolment period must be made immediately (but no later than two weeks after the start of lectures) at the Faculty Secretariat.
