Tasks of the Practice Department
- Promoting the practical relevance of the degree programme
- Counselling, support and supervision of students before, during and after the practical phases
- Organisational and administrative management and evaluation of the practical phases
- Liaising between students, university lecturers and professionals and professional practice institutions
- Advising social work organisations and professionals on all issues relating to the study-integrated practical phases
- Further development and assurance of the quality standards of the practical phases, including with regard to state recognition
- National and international networking
- Membership, cooperation and professional exchange in the Federal Working Group of Practice Centres at Universities of Social Work in Germany
Practical semester
The practical semester is an integral part of the Bachelor's degree programmes and lasts at least 22 weeks.
